It was a bittersweet reunion at the third episode of The Walking Dead.
Rick Grimes was finally reunited with his wife and son at a makeshift camp just outside Atlanta as friend Shane Walsh felt slighted with his appearance.
In a turn of events, Rick decided to come back to Atlanta to rescue Merle Dixon who was chained at the top of the building in episode 2. With him was Merle’s younger brother Daryl Dixon as well as Glenn and T-Dog.
We also Rick’s wife Lori now angry with Shane for telling her that Rick had died in the hospital. Rick then takes out his anger on Ed (who beats his wife Carol) by nearly beating him to death.
The end of the episode reminded me the movie Saw 1 when Rick and his group discovered a hacksaw and Merle’s dismembered hand at the place where they left him.
Episode 3 continues its reign with 5.07 million people tuning in to watch the episode.
Let’s see how episode 4 will fare.
