StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Named Best PC Game at 2010 Video Game Awards
Category: ComputersThe sequel to the award-winning 1998 video game StarCraft and one of the most anticipated video games ever, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty certainly lived up to expectations.
Released worldwide on July 27, 2010, the game garnered very positive reviews from critics and sold a total of 3 million copies worldwide on its first month on sale.
It’s no wonder then that in the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards held last December 11, 2010 at the L.A. Convention Center in Los Angeles, California, USA, StarCraft 2 was named as the “Best PC Game”.
It beat a tough competition – Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect 2 and Sid Meier’s Civilization V.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was released by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It is split into three installments: the base game with the subtitle Wings of Liberty, and two upcoming expansion packs, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.
