The Cape, NBC’s new superhero series about a caped crusader is finally here!

The Cape is an innocent cop who has been framed for a crime he did not commit and then left for dead after he is caught. Eventually saved by a circus ringleader who prepares him with special abilities to defend himself against his foes, he takes on a new guise in order to clear his name and protect his family.

The premiere episode will be on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 9:00 PM ET/PT at NBC.

It will be a two-hour special showing the first two episodes: Pilot and Tarot.

Former police officer Vince Faraday teams up with carnival misfits in order to fight crime; The Cape must rely on his friends to help him stop Chess from taking over Palm City’s jails.
