2010-11 NBA Season | Blake Griffin Scores Career High 47 Points!Category: Basketball
The High Griffinition is certainly having a super-rookie season.
In the LA Clippers 114-107 win against the Indiana Pacers today, Blake Griffin scored a career high 47 points! That also happens to be the current NBA-best eclipsing Monta Ellis previous mark of 46 points.
In an assortment of turnaround jumpers, hook shots, putbacks and twisting layups, Griffin showed that his game is not just all about dunks as he hit an amazing 19 of his 24 field goal attempt while going 9 of 11 at the free-throw line.
For good measure, he also also grabbed 14 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
This is his 27th straight double-double and 33rd of the season.
Griffin’s previous career high in scoring was 44 points in a game against the New York Knicks last November 21, 2010 which was punctuated by a highlight poster dunk of Russian rookie Timofey Mozgov.
With stats like these, Griffin should be selected to play in the All-Star game and not just participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest!
