There’s Kobe’s Black Mamba and Lebron’s King James. There’s even amusing ones like Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Dwight “Foul on You” Howard.
Then, there’s the King of NBA Nicknames, Shaquille O’Neal. Just attach the word “Big” to anything and you’re good to go: The Big Aristotle, The Big Maravich, The Big Cactus and The Big Shamrock to name a few.
This season, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers has taken the NBA by storm with his highlight dunks.
He has taken dunking to another level that he has become the Human Highlight Reel. Oops, that nickname was already taken by Dominique Wilkins.
For months, Griffin has been without a nickname and one is needed immediately.
NBC’s new superhero genre TV series is off to a good start!
The Cape’s 2-hour premiere got a 2.6 rating and averaged 8.4 million viewers during its run.
Although I don’t believe in horoscopes, it is interesting to know that due to changes in the Earth’s alignment, the dates of many zodiac signs have changed.
Each zodiac sign is composed of constellations or patterns of stars which represent various animals and human.
Since 3,000 years ago, when astrology began, there have been 12 signs designated to different periods of the year: the 12 zodiac signs.
But since the Earth’s position in relation to the sun has changed overtime, there will be a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.
Another superhero from the pages of comic books and the boob tube screens is coming to the silver screen.
The Green Hornet is an upcoming 2011 superhero film, based on the character of the same name that had originated in a 1930s radio program and has appeared in movie serials, a television series, comic books and other media.
The film stars Seth Rogen, as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet, a wealthy newspaper publisher who is secretly the masked crimefighter The Green Hornet.
Supporting actors include Jay Chou as Kato, Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz, Edward Furlong, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour and Tom Wilkinson.
This year will be a fun-filled year for numerologists.
After all, the year started with a binary set of numbers, 01/01/11 which translates to 23 in decimal, which happens to be a prime number, which they say is a sign of a good year.
Then, 01/10/11 happened yesterday which is 27 in decimal, which has a morbid meaning because of the 27 Club – famous rock/blues musicians who died at age 27.
