In the co-main event of UFC 126 this February 5, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, two former UFC champions will face off to move one step up to challenging again for a UFC title belt: Forrest Griffin and Rich “Ace” Franklin.

American Rich Franklin (27 wins-5 losses, 15 by KO / 9 by submission) is a former UFC middleweight champion. He is also an Octagon veteran with 16 fights to his credit. His last two fights were against two former UFC fighters who were making a comeback. He won in a classic match against Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva at UFC 99 and lost to Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort at UFC 103.

In his last fight, he sent UFC legend Chuck Liddell to retirement with a devastating first round knockout at UFC 115!

American Forrest Griffin (17 wins-6 losses, 3 KOs/7 submissions) is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship Light Heavyweight Champion. He is hoping to get back on the winning track after his devastating loss via 1st round TKO to Anderson Silva at the co-main event of UFC 101.

In his last fight at UFC 106, he defeated Tito Ortiz via Split Decision.
