American Idol Issues Apology For Steven Tyler’s “Outrageous Behavior”Category: Entertainment
At the start of the February 2 episode of American Idol, a message appeared on screen which reads,
“AMERICAN IDOL WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE FOR LAST WEEK’S OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR BY STEVEN TYLER. MR. TYLER HAS BEEN WARNED AND ASSURES US IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.”
What’s the fuss all about?
It was immediately answered with the opening scene when a young male hopeful showed up at the American Idol Austin, Texas auditions.
Jennifer Lopez: “What’s your name?”
Young Man: “James Muck”.
Steven Tyler: “You know what rhymes with Muck?”
James Muck: “Duck?”
Steven Tyler: “Read my lips”.
Haha, you know, what’s next. [CLUE: it’s the F word.]
Steven Tyler, the rock god that he is is surely making this show fun to watch even without Simon Cowell.
The apology is actually not needed because the producers could simply not show that part at all.
However, with ratings going downhill, it needs to drum up viewer interest.
Ryan Seacrest announced on his radio show on Wednesday that American Idol will air an apology at the beginning of the show.
That’s enough to gather a few thousand viewers I guess. If you want to receive my latest posts, please subscribe to my full feed RSS or have them delivered through email. Just enter your email address below and hit the Subscribe button.
