The article was written 2 days ago on February 28, but I have known only about it just this day. Thanks to Internet marketing guru Jomar Hilario who posted it to my Hakuna Matata! Facebook page wall.

(No, we’re not related. I have not even met the man.)

Anyway, the article I was referring to is the one written by pinoymoneytalk titled “The 50 Top-Ranked Blogs in the Philippines“.

The big deal? This site is ranked #19 on that list. Yippee!

To rank that high among the thousands of websites here in the Philippines, even though this site is only 2 years old and to think that I’m not a full-time blogger is quite an achievement I must say.

(I help in making the Internet accessible to students of Mindanao as my day job by the way.)

I even ranked higher than the personal blogs of my blogging idols Marghil Macuha (#29), Sustines Laplana (#28) and Jehzeel Laurente (#25). Macuha’s news site Batangas Today is at #8 though.

The list was made according to each site’s Alexa rank – which is based on site visits, user pageviews, time on site, and search traffic stats, among others.

Because I’m on the list, I’m feeling generous today.

The top two keywords that brought traffic to this site for the year 2010 are facebok and facbook; both misspellings of our favorite social network.

With millions of Facebook users everyday, there are thousands who will search for it in a misspelled way.
