FIGHT DETAILS: UFC Heavyweights Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović and Brendan Schaub face off to determine who will move one step closer to the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Filipović from Croatia (27 wins – 8 losses, 20 KOs/4 submissions) in his heydays became one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts while in PRIDE and had legendary battles with the likes of Fedor Emelianenko, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Wanderlei Silva, among many others. He is a large heavyweight kickboxer who often relies on his strong legs to knock opponents out.

In his last fight, he was knocked out by Frank Mir at UFC 119.

Schaub from USA (7 wins – 1 loss, 6 KOs) was a finalist and the runner-up of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights where he lost to Roy Nelson. In his last fight, he defeated Gabriel Gonzaga via Unanimous Decision at UFC 121.
