The Ultimate Fighter Season 13 Episode 1 premiere

Brock Lesnar was virtually indestructible. Then came Cain Velasquez.

Now, Lesnar wants his title back. But before that, he has to coach a team of seven welterweights first against another team to be coached by his next opponent, Junior dos Santos.

In the 13th season of the UFC-produced reality television series The Ultimate Fighter, Lesnar and dos Santos will be tested on the coaching table before they get  to battle each other for a title shot at UFC 131 in Vancouver, Canada on June 11.

The season is officially titled as The Ultimate Fighter: Team Lesnar vs Team dos Santos and features 14 fighters in the welterweight division. It deviated from the usual 16, 28 or 32 in recent seasons.

This season will not feature an elimination round like the two seasons before it, however, the “wild card” selections introduced in Season 11 will still be featured.

In the season premiere episode on March 30, 2011 at 9PM/6C, UFC President Dana White meets the fighters and introduce the coaches as well as  explain rules on how the wild card works.

Each coach will also get to pick their fighters after they conduct their own evaluations.

TUF s13e01 is titled “Something to Prove”.
