Scandals and controversies seem to always follow Willie Revillame.
The latest to hit the TV host is an incident in the March 12 episode of his Willing Willie primetime show at TV5 where he repeatedly goaded a 6-year old boy named Jan-Jan Suan into doing a sexually suggestive dance while the audience laughed at him.
The boy danced ala-“macho dancer”, gyrating like a dancer in a gay bar would… while crying. Revillame gave him P10,000 for his trouble.
Unfavorable reaction to that segment immediately ensued as others deem the act as a form of child abuse.
DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) Secretary Dinky Soliman even wrote on March 28, a letter of protest to TV5 management appealing the network not to allow children to endure ridicule and embarrassment on national television.
Here’s the controversial video of Jan-Jan Suan – the crying macho dancer, as he is now called.

What do you think? A harmless act done in the spirit of fun or simply child abuse? If you want to receive my latest posts, please subscribe to my full feed RSS or have them delivered through email. Just enter your email address below and hit the Subscribe button.
