He is a former five-time world champion at WBC and WBO Super Bantamweight (122 lb), WBC Featherweight (126 lb), WBC Super Featherweight (130 LB)and the IBF Junior Lightweight (130 lb) divisions. He has won 7 titles in five different weight classes.

Argentinian Maidana (29 wins – 2 losses, 27 KOs) is the current World Boxing Association’s interim Super Lightweight champion.

FIGHT RESULT: Maidana won the interim World Boxing Association super lightweight via Majority Decision. Judges Jerry Roth and Adalaide Byrd had it 116-112 for Maidana, while Dick Houck had it 114-114.
