Known as the Second Season, the NBA Playoffs is scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 16, 2011.

This will be one of the most anticipated postseasons in NBA history as after a grueling 82 games undertaken by the NBA’s 30 teams for the 2010-11 NBA season, new  title contenders have emerged.

Usual suspects the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics will face tough competition in the San Antonio Spurs, the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls for the ultimate prize, an NBA championship ring.

The 2011 NBA Playoff schedule and dates will be announced on April 14th at 3PM ET.

The first round best of seven series is set to begin on April 16, Saturday (Sunday here in the Philippines).

Conference Semifinals Round: May 1, 2011

Conference Finals Round: May 15, 2011
