Just when you taught the Scream movie franchise had its last gasp for breath with Scream 3 in 2000, here comes a sequel set 11 years later.
Scream 4 (stylized as SCRE4M) is intended to be the first of a new trilogy.
Hmmm, perhaps director Wes Craven wants to target the newer generation?
Well, the Scream series is being credited with revitalizing the horror genre in the late 90s so it might work wonders for the 21st century.
Scream 4 features an ensemble female cast comprising of David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere. Campbell, Arquette and Cox are the only returning cast members from the previous films.

Ten years have passed, and Sidney Prescott, who has put herself back together thanks in part to her writing, is visited by the Ghostface Killer.
Scream 4 is directed and produced by Wes Craven for a budget of $40 million.
