Showtime Boxing / CBS Sports Presents: Pacquiao vs MosleyCategory: Boxing
Manny Pacquiao’s last five fights were on HBO Pay-Per-View, averaging over 1 million sales making him along with rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., the biggest attraction in the sport.
Yet, for the first time since the Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo II bout in 2005, Showtime and CBS will promote, produce and distribute the May 7, 2011 pay-per-view bout between pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.
This was made possible due to promoter Bob Arum’s desire to return the sport of boxing to network television before he retires. By putting many of the promotional materials for the fight on CBS, Arum will reach an audience of 115 million television households.
As part of the promotion for this pay-per-view boxing event, Showtime and CBS had prepared a TV special that focuses on each fighter’s training and preparation for the bout as well as a glimpse of their personal lives: the Fight Camp 360 four-part series.
