On May 28, 2011, 24-year-old Jed Mildon performed arguably the most amazing stunt in all of BMX history by doing the world’s first triple backflip.
Yes, that’s three consecutive backward flips on a BMX bike.
Mildon did the death-defying stunt at the Unit T3 Mindtricks BMX Jam in his hometown of Taupo, New Zealand.
A representative from the Guinness Book of World Record was there to witness the record setting trick.
The moment reminds me of when Travis Pastrana did the world’s first double backflip on a motorcycle.
