Dirk Nowitzki was perfect on 24 free throws, setting an NBA postseason record for most foul shots made without a miss as he scored 48 points, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 121-112 victory in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The German Wunderkind made 10 of his first 11 field goals, and 12 of 15 overall. His 48 points were the most by anyone this postseason. It was two shy of his most ever in a playoff game, which came in the finale of the 2006 Western Conference finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder got the grueling seven-game series against the Memphis Grizzlies with a 105-90 victory in the do-or-die game 7.

Israeli model Orit Fox was cuddling with and kissing a snake on Spanish television channel Telecinco when the reptile bit her silicone-implanted breast.
Fox went to the hospital for a tetanus shot and survived. The snake was unlucky though.

The Oklahoma City Thunder is expected to be a top contender in the Western Conference. Not so for the Memphis Grizzlies.
In fact, not one soul expected them to reach this far.
Barging into the 2011 NBA Playoffs as the 8th seed in the West, the Grizzlies made history by winning their first ever playoff game when it defeated the #1 seed San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their First Round matchup. Dismissed as just a fluke, they went on to win the series in six games as they became just the second #8 seed ever to defeat a #1 seed since the first round was expanded to a best-of-seven format in 2003.
