Today’s Google Doodle: Les Paul Interactive Guitar

Category: Computers

.....

I am a frustrated guitar player.

So, imagine my delight when I found out that Google has in their homepage a doodle of an interactive guitar. This is one of the coolest doodles ever. You can play the strings using your mouse or your keyboard. I am reminded of the Pacman doodle.

Les Paul Interactive Guitar Google Doodle

It’s a tribute to Les Paul’s 96th birthday. Paul is a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which “made the sound of rock and roll possible”.

Here’s the video if you somehow missed the doodle.

Les Paul was born outside Milwaukee, in Waukesha, Wisconsin on June 9, 1915.

To know more about the man, check out his Wikipedia entry. [Les Paul]
