Jim Henson Muppets Google Doodle

Today’s Google doodle is one of the coolest ever as it allows you to become a puppeteer, albeit digitally.

In honor of Jim Henson’s 75th birthday,  Google made a tribute for the man who was best known as best known as the creator of The Muppets and the actor who voiced Ernie of Sesame Street and Kermit the Frog.

At the Google homepage is a doodle of six Muppets whose shapes suggest the Google logo.

When you click on the button below each character, they will respond to you as if you were the puppeteer. Their head and eyes will follow your cursor’s movement and clicking or pressing keys in your keyboard will open their mouths.

Here’s the video if you somehow missed the doodle.

To know more about the puppeteer, check out his Wikipedia entry. [Jim Henson]
