A prologue of The Dark Knight Rises was attached to 70mm IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

It shows us a glimpse of the first six minutes of the movie which is set to be released on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros.

The clip gave fans of the movie franchise a first glimpse of the villain Bane (Tom Hardy) in action, who is seen hijacking a plane and fighting Batman (Christian Bale.)

The sequence ended with a figure, who appears to be Bane, throwing Batman’s mask on the floor.

The prologue also featured footage of  Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as policeman John Blake.

The Dark Knight Rises is directed by Christopher Nolan and is the third movie in a trilogy, the sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008).
