It’s that time of the year once again when the best team of the American Football Conference (AFC) collides with the best team of the National Football Conference (NFC) to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2011 season.

It’s the Super Bowl XLVI!

And for fans eager to witness the sporting event of the year, the most common question on their mind is: What time does Superbowl 2012 start?

AFC’s New England Patriots will face NFC’s New York Giants on February 5, 2012 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

Kickoff time for the 46th Super Bowl is at 6:30 PM EST / 5:30 PM CST.

It will be will be broadcast exclusively LIVE on NBC.

As the most watched American television program year in and year out, expect fans to grab a seat, pop corn and beer ready before the kickoff time so as not to miss the pregame ceremonies and the National Anthem which will be sang by former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

The Super Bowl commercials are also a delight to watch as well as the half time show which would feature performances by Madonna, M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj.

Super Bowl 2012 will be aired LIVE on TV by NBC with kickoff time of at 6:30 PM EST / 5:30 PM CST.
