After graduating from Harvard University, Jeremy Lin went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft.
Undeterred, he later joined the Dallas Mavericks for mini-camp as well as their NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas.
In five Summer League games, while playing both guard positions, Lin averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 18.6 minutes per game and shot a team leading 54.5% from the floor.
However, it was the game versus John Wall and the Washington Wizards that paved the way for others to recognize Lin as he scored 13 points on 6-for-12 shooting in only 28 minutes. Wall had 21 but was 4-for-19 in 33 minutes. Lin also had 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
In the fourth quarter and in a very close game, Lin outplayed Wall and the crowd was cheering for him by the end of the game even though his team lost.

The rest as they say, is history.
