The Avengers finally assemble in this comics-to-movie superhero ensemble featuring the best superheroes the world has to offer since X-Men.

Here are various quotes from each character taken from the movie trailers which are half-funny, half-serious.

Nick Fury

And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth’s mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat… to fight the foes no single superhero could withstand… on that day, The Avengers were born.

Nick Fury: It’s called the Avengers Initiative.
Tony Stark: I thought I didn’t qualify. I was considered, what was it… volatile, self-centered, and I don’t play well with others.

Steve Rogers (Captain America)

[to Iron Man] Is everything a joke to you?

Nick Fury: The world has changed.
Steve Rogers: At this point I doubt anything would surprise me.

Tony Stark: He was an idiot!
Steve Rogers: He was doing his job!
Tony Stark: For taking Loki alone, he was out of his league!
Steve Rogers: Is this the first time you’ve lost a soldier?
Tony Stark: We are not soldiers! I am not marching in Fury’s fight!
Steve Rogers: Neither am I! He’s got the same blood on his hands as Loki. Right now we’ve got to put that aside and get this done.

Hulk, smash!

Bruce Banner (Hulk)

Don’t make him angry.

We’re not a team. We’re a time-bomb!

Thor

You have no idea who you are dealing with!

Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow)

[to Hawkeye] This is nothing we were ever trained for.

Loki
