FIGHT DETAILS: Georges St-Pierre was originally scheduled to defend his Welterweight Championship against Nick Diaz in the main event. However, on December 7, 2011, it was revealed St-Pierre had suffered an ACL injury that forced him out of the fight. Diaz will now face Carlos Condit with the winner receiving an interim title belt. Condit’s original opponent, Josh Koscheck, is now expected to face Mike Pierce at this event.

Diaz from USA (26 wins – 7 losses, 13 KOs/8 submissions) is the former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion, WEC and IFC Welterweight Champion. He is currently ranked the #2 welterweight in the world by Sherdog, ESPN, MMAWeekly, and USA Today.

FIGHT DETAILS: Dan Henderson faces Shogun Rua in a Light Heavyweight title-contention fight.

Henderson  from USA (28 wins – 8 losses, 13 KOs /2 submissions) is the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and was the last Welterweight and Middleweight champion of Pride Fighting Championships. He was the only mixed martial artist to concurrently hold two titles in two different weight classes in a major MMA promotion.

He also became the first man to knock out Fedor Emelianenko, widely considered to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. He did it on July 30, 2011 at the main event of Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson.

Brazilian Rua (20 wins – 5 losses, 17 KOs/1 submission) is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Rua is currently ranked as the No. 3 Light Heavyweight fighter by Sherdog and MMAWeekly.He is also ranked the No. 10 pound for pound fighter in the world.

In his last fight at UFC 134, he knocked out Forrest Griffin in the first round.

FIGHT RESULT: Henderson defeated Rua via unanimous decision (48–47, 48–47, 48–47) in a fight that was considered as one of the best fights in UFC history.

Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez faced-off last November 12, 2011 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

It was a title fight with Velasquez defending his UFC Heavyweight Championship at the UFC’s network television debut on Fox.

Viewers were left wanting for more as the fight lasted only 64 seconds.

In the first round, Junior dos Santos dropped Cain Velasquez with a right behind the ear. He immediately went to work with a ground and pound and after 12 unanswered shots, referee John McCarthy stepped in to stop the fight. The official time is 1:04 of round one.

Dos Santos will next face the winner of a December 30 fight between Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar in Las Vegas.
