ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is a community-based organization that advocates for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues. During the 2008 presidential campaign, the group supported Barack Obama but was accused of “massive voter fraud”. In return, Obama paid-off ACORN with $5.2 billion from its stimulus bill.
The hoopla behind that is not yet cleared and yet again, another controversy is rocking the organization: the Acorn Prostitute Scandal.
