Which is better, Infolinks or Clicksor?
Today, I decided to stick to one and junk the other.
I have been utilizing Infolinks since April 2009 while Clicksor only last November 2009.
Both of these advertising networks offer a good complement to Google Adsense. I use Infolinks for its in-text ads (those links that appear in texts of a web page) while I use Clicksor for its interstitial ads (those ads that appear in-between pages).

Hakuna Matata! was officially launched last February 12, 2009 with my first ever blog post titled “The Ark is Now Ready to Sail“.
More than a year later; 410 days to be exact, here I am making my 500th blog post. That means in that span, I was able to churn out an average of 1.22 posts per day.
Wow! I didn’t expect I’d be as prolific a writer as this. In my quest to make money online, I was able to write this many. In comparison with my second web site, I was only able to publish 70 posts in 1 year for an average of only 1 post every 5.2 days. Well, that one was really not meant for making money online.
As the 500th blog post, this is a report on what has transpired over the past 410 days it has taken me to write this many.

There are actually countless advertising and affiliate networks that you can utilize in order for your web site to earn some cash.
There’s this adage that rings true when it comes to making money online, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. Meaning, don’t focus on just one advertising or affiliate network. Try to experiment and see what works for you.
However, remember that you have to generate traffic to your site first before you can make money. How can you if no one is clicking on those ads right? The best way still is to do some SEO (search engine optimization) work. Check out my top 100 keywords.

In monetizing one’s web site, knowing SEO (search engine optimization) is a great factor whether you can make money or not. In SEO, keywords are its lifeblood.
You should optimize your site in such a way that you appear in the SERPs (search engine results page) for certain keywords. Appearing in the search engine is not even enough. You should RANK HIGH. Getting that coveted top spot is the ultimate goal but appearing in the first page is not bad either.
When that happens, visitors will start to flock to your site and that stream of traffic will be the one who will bring you the money.

For my making-money-online venture, I don’t rely just on Google Adsense alone.
Yes, Adsense is my bread and butter but in order for me to maximize my income, I utilize other advertising networks as well. There are also times when Adsense ads won’t show up due to some “stop words” that can trigger the commercial ads to be replaced by public service ads. Like this post I made about Marge Simpson’s Playboy spread which contains some nudity (NSFW).
So even though Adsense ads won’t appear, I have other alternative ads. I already mentioned Chitika from which I received my first payout after 4 months. The second income generator for me is Infolinks.
