Brett “The Grim” Rogers is an undefeated heavyweight MMA fighter with a perfect 10-0 record.
But that was before he met Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko last November.
Heavier by at least 30 lbs. and taller by 5 inches, many thought that Rogers will spoil Emelianenko’s debut for Strikeforce and will give him his first ever unquestionable defeat.
Last month’s Strikeforce event at the “Music City” was marred by an incident that came to be known as the Strikeforce brawl.
Hoping to erase the stigma and put Strikeforce back in the MMA world, the organization is holding another event on May 15, 2010 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
It will be titled Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery.
So called because the main event will feature a bout between heavyweights Alistair “Demolition Man” Overeem and Brett “The Grim” Rogers. At stake is Overeem’s Strikeforce Heavyweight Championship title.
This November 7, 2009 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, USA, Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko will face off against Brett “The Black Grim” Rogers.
It will be the main event for Strikeforce: Fedor vs Rogers being promoted by Strikeforce & M-1 Global organizations.
