The season finale of the second season of the American musical television series Glee was aired on May 24, 2011.
The episode titled “New York” features New Directions as they head to New York City for the National Show Choir Championship. The group faced Vocal Adrenaline once again led by Sunshine Corazon (played by Filipino International artist Charice Pempengco.)
For her turn as exchange student Sunshine Corazon in the hit TV musical show Glee, Charice Pempengco has been nominated at the “1st Annual Glee: The Music Awards” hosted by Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton.
She first appeared in the first episode of Glee season 2, where she had a bathroom confrontation with Rachel Berry. Their Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” duet is nominated for the Best Duet category.
In the Season 2 premiere of Glee last September, Charice Pempengco tantalized the world with her amazing voice as she made her first appearance as the character Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student.
In that episode titled “Audition”, she had a “Telephone” showdown with Leah Michelle then sang “Listen” in her audition.
Seventeen episodes later, Charice is again set to display her singing prowess in the “A Night to Neglect” episode of Glee Season 2 on April 19.

Need proof? First, there was Charice Pempengco. Then there was Arnel Pineda. And now, another Filipino talents were discovered through YouTube. They are the singing duo of Erin and Roxanne, popularly known as Rin (Erin) on the Rox (Roxanne). They are also known as “The Bathroom Singers” because they sing, well ah, in the bathroom. From their YouTube channel, Erin wrote that they are both Filipino, but as for Roxanne, she’s Filipino and white.
