In the 90s and earlier this decade, Roy Jones Jr. was so dominant that he has compiled a 49-1 record with his only loss coming via disqualification against Montell Griffin. He even defeated John Ruiz by a 12-round unanimous decision for the WBA heavyweight championship becoming the first former middleweight champ to win a heavyweight title in 106 years.
For his efforts, he was named “Fighter of the Decade” for the 1990s by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
