Chicago Bulls Signs Richard Hamilton

Richard Hamilton is now a member of the Chicago Bulls.

The leading scorer for the 2004 NBA Champions Detroit Pistons, Hamilton was waived by the Pistons on December 12, 2011 and immediately signed a 3-year, 15 million dollar contract with the Chicago Bulls earlier today, with the third year being a team option.

Hamilton joins 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose to form one of the most dynamic backcourt duos in the league.

2009-10 NBA Season | Pistons’ Rodney Stuckey Collapses in Game vs the Cavs

The Cavs are slowly gnawing at the Pistons’ 9-point half-time lead and Rip Hamilton and his teammates are becoming scared of the current number one team in the NBA.

But nothing’s more scary when late in the 3rd quarter, their point guard Rodney Stuckey slowly collapses in his chair after a timeout. He remained there for 12 minutes while a heart test was administered before being taken away to a clinic in a stretcher.

NBA Free-Agent Signings | Ben Gordon to Pistons

Free agent guard Ben Gordon of the Chicago Bulls has reportedly agreed to play for the Detroit Pistons starting this coming NBA season for a five-year, $55 million deal. He has been offered $50 million by his old team but he refused it.

Ben Gordon came into the league in the 2004 NBA Draft as the 3rd pick overall (Dwight Howard was 1st) of the Chicago Bulls after leading the University of Connecticut Huskies to the 2004 NCAA Championship. He immediately made an impact when he became the first rookie in NBA history to be awarded the NBA Sixth Man Award.  He has also led the Bulls in scoring each of the past 4 seasons and became a full-time starter this past season. He is the Bulls’ all-time leader in three point field goals passing Scottie Pippen for that honor in 2008.
