This one was reminiscent of the dunk Blake Griffin pulled off Timofey Mozgov.
In the LA Clippers’ 108-99 loss to the Phoenix Suns, Griffin made Suns center Marcin Gortat his launching pad as he jumped just outside the restricted area; so far away from the rim that he literally have to just throw the ball in.
However, the dunk was waived off by game officials as it was ruled an offensive foul on Griffin giving him his sixth foul.

To make the NBA Slam Dunk contest more unforgettable and fun, they should let these amateur ballers with amazing hops participate next year.
Last year, the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest (for NBA players) was upstaged by Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown (for amateurs) when Gerald Wallace, Shannon Brown, DeMar DeRozan and winner Nate Robinson’s dunks all paled in comparison to that performed by Willie “Flyte” Barnes, Haneef “Young Hollywood” Munir, Carlos “Los” Smothers and Taurian “Air Up There” Fontenette.

NBA superstars are usually given nicknames based on their play on and off the court.
There’s Kobe’s Black Mamba and Lebron’s King James. There’s even amusing ones like Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Dwight “Foul on You” Howard.
Then, there’s the King of NBA Nicknames, Shaquille O’Neal. Just attach the word “Big” to anything and you’re good to go: The Big Aristotle, The Big Maravich, The Big Cactus and The Big Shamrock to name a few.
This season, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers has taken the NBA by storm with his highlight dunks.
He has taken dunking to another level that he has become the Human Highlight Reel. Oops, that nickname was already taken by Dominique Wilkins.
For months, Griffin has been without a nickname and one is needed immediately.

Three-time Sprite Slam Dunk champion Nate “KryptoNate” Robinson will not be coming back to defend his crown at this year’s edition.
So is former champ Dwight “Superman” Howard. Lebron James egged by many to participate don’t want to join too.
One player most fans want to see has fortunately accepted the invitation though: the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin.
