After all, Penn has defended his UFC lightweight title three consecutive times against top competition: Sean Sherk, Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez.
Penn is also regarded at that time as the #1 lightweight in the world and was only the second fighter to win UFC titles in two different weight classes (Randy Couture is the other).
The “Face of Female Mixed Martial Arts”" Gina Carano is one of six athletes that will grace the six different covers of ESPN The Magazine’s “The Body Issue”.
Looking by the cover preview where Gina is posing topless, this is going to be a hot issue as well.
The other athletes featured in the cover are Serena Williams (tennis), Dwight Howard (NBA), Adrian Peterson (NFL), Carl Edwards (NASCAR), and Sarah Reinertsen (amputee Ironman triathlete).
This will be the magazine’s first ever “The Body Issue” featuring 30 male and female athletes posing nude or semi-nude. It is hoping to follow the success of Sports Illustrated’s “Swimsuit Issue”.
UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture is the other MMA fighter included in the issue.
In a report by CNN, the man who allegedly secretly videotaped ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews through a peephole in her hotel room was arrested by FBI authorities at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Friday night as he arrived on a flight from Buffalo, New York, USA.
The man is 48-year-old Michael David Barrett.
He took the Erin Andrews peephole video through a modified door peephole while the 31-year-old Andrews was alone and undressed in hotel rooms in Nashville, Tennessee, in September 2008. Investigators said the eighth video was likely taken at another hotel, which Andrews couldn’t identify. Barrett apparently called many hotels to find out where Andrews was staying and requested a hotel room next to hers.
Smart.
On July 16, 2009, an Erin Andrews peephole video was posted on the web site NSFWPOA.com although the woman in it was only described as “Hot naked blonde who looks a lot like a sports blogger favorite in her hotel room”.
In the video, the woman is seen primping her hair and putting on her makeup while walking around her hotel room naked.
The very next day, ESPN identified the girl as their sportscaster Erin Andrews and their lawyers sent this letter to the web site owners:
I am the General Counsel of ESPN, Inc. It has come to my attention that you have posted on your site pictures of a young, blonde woman . . . These pictures were obviously taken through a peephole or otherwise in a fashion constituting a trespass/assault on the rights of the woman involved. Your continued posting of these pictures are highly likely to render you an accessory after the fact to a criminal act. We hereby demand that you (i) immediately remove these pictures from your site and (ii) disclose to us the source of the pictures. We intend to hold you fully responsible for further display of material that so obviously violates the law.

After bagging his 1st NBA MVP Award this season, Lebron James rightfully added the prestigious 2009 ESPY Awards Best NBA Player category to his trophy case. The ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Awards AKA ESPYs is an annual sports event created by TV network ESPN honoring various individuals and teams for their achievements.
However, Lebron is a no-show at the 17th ESPY Awards ceremony held Wednesday night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. Kobe Bryant who battled it out with Lebron for the award was present with his hot wife Vanessa Laine and Los Angeles Lakers teammates to receive the award for the Best Team category.
