In one of the most infamous incident in mixed-martial arts history, Jason Miller caused the “Strikeforce brawl“ when he confronted Strikeforce Middleweight champion Jake Shields in the center of the ring after Shields’ win over Tim Stout at Strikeforce: Nashville. A mayhem immediately ensued.
Fined and given suspension for three months, Miller returned to fight in Japan for Dream 16 last September 25, 2010.
He faced one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, Kazushi Sakuraba.
Jason Miller’s nickname suits him well after all.
After the Jake Shields vs Dan Henderson main event at Strikeforce: Nashville last April 17, Miller caused a mayhem when during the post-fight interview for Shields, he interrupted it by asking, “When’s my rematch?”
Immediately, Shield’s team mate Gilbert Melendez (who defended his title from Shinya Aoki in the co-main event) pushed Miller. The Diaz brothers (Nick and Nate) also joined the fracas that ensued as the Strikeforce Hexagon resembled a WWE ring.
Jake Shields, currently the #3 ranked welterweight in the world by MMAWeekly and ranked #4 by Sherdog will meet MTV’s Bully Beatdown host Jason “Mayhem” Miller for the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship belt recently vacated by Cung Lee who ventured in an acting career (see Tekken).
