Every time Manny Pacquiao fights, there’s a silent race that rages among Pinoy bloggers who want to cash-in on their local hero’s fame.
During the Pacman’s fight day, the Internet is literally on fire with people searching for anything related to the pound for pound king. It’s no secret that for bloggers, that’s a good chance to make some cash.
Why?
Just as we all thought we have already seen the best Manny Pacquiao has to offer in his demolition of bigger fighters like David Diaz, Oscar dela Hoya and Miguel Cotto, we were wrong.
At the 1:37 mark of the 4th round in his bout with Joshua Clottey, Pacquiao let loose his new ultimate super weapon, the cymbals “pompyang” punch. It’s just like a video game player executing the Konami code to unleash the “finishing move” to an opponent.
Ok… that punch wasn’t really Pacman’s best punch nor did it even finished Clottey.
However, in an event that featured Manny unleashing his combos for 12 rounds on a $3 million punching bag, it provided comic relief on an otherwise boring match.
The Cowboys Stadium, home of the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys and the biggest domed stadium in the world will be transformed into a boxing ring to accommodate 45,000 fans eager to see “The Event”.
In a boxing event simply titled “The Event”, offense versus defense will meet inside the boxing ring of Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas, USA on March 13, 2010.
The vaunted offense of pound for pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao (49-3-2) will try to penetrate the stifling defense of Joshua “Grand Master” Clottey (35-3) as they meet in the welterweight limit of 147 lbs.
Manny Pacquiao is set to defend his welterweight championship belt when he fights Joshua Clottey from Ghana on March 13, 2010 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas, USA.
In what will surely be an exciting title defense. Manny will once again rely on his lethal combination of speed, power and intelligence to wear down the bigger, taller and stronger Clottey.

The Pacquiao-Cotto 24/7 by HBO Sports was a nice documentary reality series that focused on Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto’s training and preparation for the bout as well as a glimpse of their personal lives.
However for Pacquiao-Clottey, HBO will not make a 24/7 series. Their executives must be thinking that there will be no interest for that bout as fans want the Pacquiao-Mayweather bout better or maybe the Mayweather-Mosley bout has overshadowed this one.
