Last September 20, two sporting events were staged in the US. One is UFC 103 headlining Rich Franklin vs Vitor Belfort and another is the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez boxing match.
Being a big sports fan and a person trying to make extra money online, I made posts about those events prior to them happening and SEOd them. As expected, this web site had a traffic spike on September 20 as people arrived here looking for information about the events.
The next day, I checked my statistics and found out that 37,723 unique visitors came here. This is the second-highest visitor turnout I got in one day.
Between UFC 103 and Mayweather vs Marquez, who brought the most traffic to this web site?

They faced each other in a 12-round 144 lbs catchweight fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on September 19, 2009 which was in conjunction with Mexican Independence Day, traditionally a big boxing weekend.

On September 19, 2009 (September 20, Sunday here in the Philippines) at the at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather, Jr. will face Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez at a catchweight of 144 lbs.
This will be Mayweather’s first fight after a 16-month retirement after he defeated Ricky Hatton. Meanwhile, this fight follows Marquez’ title defense against Juan Diaz last February 28, 2009.
The fight is billed as “Number One / Numero Uno” since Mayweather is the former #1 pound-for-pound boxer whole Marquez is Mexico’s #1 boxer.

In a boxing event titled “Number One / Numero Uno”, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez will face each other in a 12-round welterweight fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
They will meet at a catchweight of 144 lbs. Mayweather is undefeated with 39 wins (25 by KO) while Marquez has a record of 50 wins (37 by KO), 4 losses and 1 draw.
This will mark Mayweather’s return to the ring after he announced on March 18 , 2009 that he is coming back after a 16-month temporary retirement. The fight was originally scheduled for July 18 but was postponed to September 19, 2009 due to a rib injury Mayweather received during training. It will be in conjunction with Mexican Independence Day, traditionally a big boxing weekend.
The undercard for the event is as follows:
Chris John vs Rocky Juarez (for the WBA featherweight title)
Michael Katsidis vs Vicente Escobedo (for the interim WBO lightweight title)
