Miami Heat Crying

The Miami Heat still have no answer for Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls as for the third time this season, they were beaten to give the series sweep to the Bulls.

Rose scored 27 points in his team’s 87-86 win while handing the Heat their fourth consecutive loss. And for the nth time, the Heat’s inability to win in the clutch has the league laughing at them.

It even became more interesting when during the post-game press conference, coach Eric Spoelstra told media,

“This is painful for every single one of us to go through this, there are couple of guys crying in the locker room right now, it is not a matter of want.”

Kobe Bryant Grabs Fourth NBA All-Star Game MVP Award

Kobe Bryant NBA All-Star Game 2011 MVP

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers was named as the MVP of the 2011 NBA All-Star Game to tie Bob Pettit’s NBA record with his fourth MVP award in just 10 years.

The Black Mamba scored 37 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in front of his hometown crowd at the Staples Center,  Los Angeles, to lead the West to a 148-143 victory over the East squad.

“This will be my last All-Star game in front of these home fans, so it feels good to be here.” Bryant said.

Kobe previously won the All-Star MVP award in 2002 and 2007 and shared it with former team mate Shaquille O’Neal in 2009.

2010-11 NBA Season | Lebron James Does Chalk Toss Amidst Boos and Bird Flips from Cavs Fans

In his first seven years in the NBA while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron James has a pregame ritual where he goes in front of the scorer’s table, faces the crowd and throws crushed chalk in the air to create a small cloud of powder.

In his first game back at Cleveland on December 2 while donning the Miami Heat uniform, there was widespread speculation that he will skip that thing amidst concerns for his safety due to a very hostile environment.

Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers 2010-2011

The King is coming back to where he first started his reign.

However, a royal treatment is not to be expected.

Amidst all the hoopla, Lebron James made a decision last summer to leave Cleveland for Miami. Immediately, there was an unfavorable response especially among Cleveland citizens as fans burned his jersey while Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert posted an open letter calling James “our former hero”, a coward and a traitor.

Lebron James’ New Nike Logo

Most basketball fans know that Lebron James is now plying his trade in South Beach after a much-publicized decision last summer.

However, many still don’t know that starting this 2010-11 NBA season, he had changed his jersey number from number 23 to number 6 too.

I myself, sometimes forgets that. Well, I blame this to the fact that Lebron was widely considered as heir apparent to the original number 23, Michael Jordan that people now also associate him to that number.
