On November 10, 1969, the TV show Sesame Street had its premiere episode. Fast forward to today, the show is still going strong and is in fact celebrating its 40th year of providing fun and entertainment to children all over the world.
To honor the longest running children’s program on US television, Google brought together its ensemble of Muppets at their homepage as a doodle.

This is the culmination of the week-long series of doodles featuring Sesame Street characters by Google.

Count Von Count more popularly known as The Count is at Google’s home page today doing what he does best, which is of course, count.

The letters of the word Google becomes numbers (600813) as The Count counts them.
The Count is a vampire who loves to, well, count. Sorry, just couldn’t help it.

It’s Elmo for today’s Google doodle!

I’m already liking this.
Elmo is the fifth consecutive Muppet from popular children’s show Sesame Street to be featured as a doodle at the Google home page after Big Bird, the Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie, and Oscar the Grouch.

The fun with Sesame Street doodles continues.
First was Big Bird, then the Cookie Monster, yesterday it was Bert and Ernie, and today, it’s Oscar the Grouch!

Oscar the Grouch is one of the Muppets of Sesame Street. He has a green body and lives a trashy life. He calls a garbage can home isn’t it? His favorite song is “I Love Trash”.

Google has been running a series of doodles for the past few days now featuring characters from the TV show, Sesame Street.
Why? It’s just Google’s way of honoring the longest running children’s program on US television which will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary on November 10.
After featuring Big Bird and the Cookie Monster, the tandem of Bert and Ernie is now seen waving at Google users all over the world.

I remembered watching Sesame Street when I was still a kid.
Well, probably our parents too as the show will be celebrating its 40th year of providing fun and entertainment to children all over the world on November 10.
To honor the longest running children’s program on US television and its Muppets, Google has a doodle in store for them at their homepage.
It’s the Cookie Monster!
