Frequently cast as leading man in romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Matthew McConaughey abandons his hunk persona to don a coat and tie as a lawyer in his latest movie, The Lincoln Lawyer.
This will not be his first time to be cast in a legal court drama though as he previously appeared in the film adaptation of the John Grisham novel, A Time to Kill where he won the 1997 MTV Movie Awards for Best Breakthrough Performance.
Based on early reviews from critics, McConaughey’s performance in The Lincoln Lawyer deserves a second look too.
The Lincoln Lawyer also stars Ryan Phillippe as Louis Roulet, Marisa Tomei as Margaret McPherson and William H. Macy as Frank Levin.
