After making a post on the Shrek Mcdonald’s Happy Meal toys featuring characters from Shrek 4: Forever After, I found out that there’s a second wave of Shrek action figures coming.
After eating lots of Happy Meal again (the Chicken McNuggets is my favorite), we were able to complete the second set in no time at all.
There are six limited edition toys to collect with different poses and uttered phrases from the first wave. Brogan and Little Wooden Puppet (or Pinocchio) are replaced by Dragon which I think is way cooler.

I have the complete set of McDonald’s Happy Meal toys for Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs but I have not seen the movie yet. Ironic isn’t it?
My sister Bona who is a die-hard fanatic of the series (check her blog’s site’s URL) keeps asking me if I have seen it already. When I told her that I was not able to catch it in the cinema, she said that I should not watch it in a pirated CD/DVD either and wait for the home video release so I’ll appreciate the movie better. Haha, oo na, sige na.
Anyway, I’m glad that there’s already a McDonald’s branch here in Cotabato City because I was getting tired of those Jollibee Kids Meal cheapos. Talagang anlaki ng kaibahan sa quality ng toys nila. My pregnant wife also accompanied me that time when I selected Sid, Manny and Diego.

In time with the showing of the second live-action film from the Transformers franchise, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, Jollibee gave away these action figures as part of its Kids Meal.
This is actually the fourth in a series of Transformers toys released by Jollibee. The first was Cybertron (January-February 2007), followed by the robots from the first Transformers live-action film (June-July 2007) and then Beast Machines (February 2009) which I was not able to acquire.
The Autobots are represented by Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Ironhide while the Decepticons are represented by Starscream. I wonder why Megatron is absent. Here they are:

In 2007, Transformers was shown as the first live-action film adaptation of the Transformers franchise. It starred Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky and introduced hot babe Megan Fox to the world. The movie was a huge hit earning more than $700 million at the box-office.
For a limited period of time in conjunction with the movie’s showing from June – July 2007, Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee offered Transformers action figures as part of its Kids Meal. It was actually the second time Jollibee has done this as around January – February of that same year, they released its Transformers: Cybertron action figures. The toys were released in partnership with toy company Hasbro.
I’m a big fan of action figures and was able to get hold of the complete set of those Transformers toys. They also double-up as cup covers/toppers. Characters represented were Optimus Prime and Bumblebee for the Autobots and Megatron and Barricade for the Decepticons. Here they are:
